A Stated Meeting of the Four Coordinate Bodies of the Ancient Accepted
Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of
the U.S.A., in the Valley of Allentown, will be held in the Masonic Temple,
Macungie.

Business will be transacted in the Lodge of Perfection, 14°; Council
Princes of Jerusalem, 16°; Chapter of Rose Croix, 18° and Consistory, 32°.
Officers of Bethlehem Chapter of Rose Croix will preside.

Accommodations, located at the Scottish Rite Center in Allentown PA, are available for one hundred thirty to one hundred eighty. The Scottish Rite Center maintains a fully equipped commercial kitchen which is available for use by caterers for events scheduled at the center. The Azure Bar is also available which will comfortably seat thirty. This room is great for small meetings or will accommodate the beginning of an evenet with a social hour. Parking is available at the Scottish Rite Center for up to Seventy Cars.

Reading and writing are two of the most critical skills we can teach our children. Children with Dyslexia have difficulty with these 2 skills. Our mission to help children learn to read and write. Below is more information on the center.

“It’s ironic that our school systems don’t even acknowledge dyslexia, or let alone provide a service for this program that affects nearly 20% of the school population. Thank goodness for the Scottish Rite Mason’s foresight and generosity in providing such a wonderful service for our children. My son improved his reading level two two grade levels in 50 hours of tutoring at the Learning Center last year. His self-esteem has gone through the roof! In October 2000, he was chosen as student of the mouth.”

• Provide, free of charge, the highest quality multisensory reading and written language tutorial services for children with dyslexia through our network of nationally recognized centers of excellence.
• Provide and encourage education of tutorial trainees, professionals, and the public, to become resources in teaching children to read.
• Advance the body of scientific knowledge of dyslexia through support of clinical research, to improve today’s standards and tomorrow’s care.

This mission is carried out free of charge, without regards to race, color, sex, creed, sect or Masonic affiliation.

Since the Allentown Center opened in 1998, over 150 children received tutoring services. After 2 or 3 years of specialized one-on-one tutoring, most children are reading at a grade level and graduate from the program. The Center has also trained over 75 tutors in the area, science and practice of tutoring children using the Orton-Gillingham approach.
