An Important message from Commander in Chief, Carl Swope 33°

Brethren All,
The COVID-19 virus is causing many disruptions in the Valley of Allentown much the same way, I
am sure, it is impacting your life. These unprecedented changes limit our daily activities. A week
ago, it seemed impossible that you should not greet your Masonic brother with a firm
handshake. Today we are told to stay home and if you must go out, stay six feet away from one
another.
We are told by Health and Government authorities to limit large gatherings. In the interest of
protecting the health of our members, the Executive committee convened a conference call on
Monday, March 16, 2020 to review the schedule of Valley events planned for March and April.
All events are cancelled or postponed. Your executive committee will plan for a restart of
Valley activities when appropriate to do so.
Sadly, the Spring Reunion will be postponed in that degree rehearsals and other preparation
cannot be completed prior to the Reunion date.
In closing, as Sovereign Grand Commander Glattly presented in his recent letter, “we need to
pay particular attention to our brethren who may be in need or who may require assistance”.
Fraternally,
Carl L Swope, 33rd , CIC
